After a lot of work this summer, I have a new studio built and almost ready to go. I'll post some pictures later. It has a dedicated easier to clean area with a sink nice and close.
I still have to wire my kiln and get things organized a bit better, but I am excited to get back at it soon. It has been a long while with all the stuff that has been going on since last I'd been producing.
This is just a short post to get the ball rolling again.
I am back at it, and hopefully consistently for good now. I thought I'd share a tip for when you are trimming.
If you use a giffen grip you know that when you trim, the clay can go flying all over the place. I haven't seen anything commercial that really solves this problem unless your splash pan sides are tall or you really good at catching the bits as they fly off.
I guess I could try and make an instructable but that might take time. Here is a picture of the pieces flat on the ground. I use binder clips to keep the thing together.
Hello, just wanted to shamelessly plug my show and sale that is coming up this saturday between 10am and 2pm. I hope people enjoy some of the stuff. I have more goods than last year which was good. I tried to get another load of mugs in but couldn't quite get them fired in time.
Sorry, No pictures. But finished a glaze firing last night after a weekend of trying to get over a cold, waxing, glazing, cleaning, and firing! I have another load to go in when this one is done. I hope the stuff turned out well! Keeping my fingers crossed!
